basics: feisty activist with a gypsy soul. I grew up in a military family but politically have become what my father lovingly terms "left of Karl Marx." My true passions are writing and traveling, and it's arguable that my paycheck is derived from the former. I am outspoken when it comes to causes and other people, though, truthfully, a little shy when it comes to myself. I would walk to the ends of the earth and back for my friends, but I'm not so great at calling every day.
